December
Jimmy's Vision Foundation is proud to host the annual Children's
Memorial Day dinner and candlelighting ceremony. National
Children's Memorial Day happens each year on the second Sunday
of December and is observed internationally. Families around
the world light candles at 7 PM in their corresponding time
zones and burn them for one hour. As candles burn down in
one time zone, they are lighted in the next, thus creating
a 24 hour wave of light that encircles the globe. We invite
you to attend our 2nd annual Children's Memorial Day Event
on Sunday, December 12th 2004 from 5 PM until 8 PM at the
Talega Swim and Athletic Club-100 Calle Altea-San Clemente,
CA 92673. Please bring a picture of your special angel to
share with others. Also, we ask that you bring a salad or
dessert. Candles will be provided for you. If you'd like to
share a memory, poem or anything else about your child; time
will be provided during the candlelighting ceremony. If you'd
like to bring a gift for a child in the hospital at the City
of Hope, please wrap it and designate the age and whether
it's for a boy or girl. We'll be taking gifts to these brave
children Christmas week. Please RSVP and let us know how many
to expect, in order for us to have enough candles and food
for all. If you cannot attend we would ask you to please light
a candle wherever you are that evening from 7-8 PM in remembrance
of all the children that have died.
Thank You and God Bless
